Teacher’s Day is an Israeli holiday, celebrated on Kaf Gimel in Kislev. This year Teacher’s Day will be celebrated on December 22, 2016.
It is a day of recognition and an expression of gratitude and appreciation for our educators and teachers for all their work and effort in educating the future generation.
The objective of “Teacher’s Day” is to express the gratitude of the public for its teachers and educators, with the realization that they are the key to success.
Teacher’s day is a product of partnership between a vast range of leading national organizations and various educational bodies, alongside intellectuals and public representatives who sought to put the teachers at the center of the public discourse and to thank them for their boundless dedication and their exceedingly momentous work. In the framework of “Teacher’s Day” events, an extensive array of activities are conducted at the schools, at local authorities, on traditional and digital media, as well as at the Israeli Knesset and the different government ministries.
